You are in the Feng Shui Study Area

So you think you know Feng Shui?

Here are some basic questions that if you have really studied Feng Shui and studied traditional Feng Shui system with a Chinese Master you will be able to answer. If you are looking for a consultant, why not ask them these questions and see what answer they give you?

  1. What was the clash direction(s) for Tai Sui year 2002 and what does this mean, what can be done to avoid this?

  2. What was the 5 yellow and 2 black negative energy directions in 1999, what are the negative consequences?

  4. If a house is built in 1984 January 30th, is that Age of 7 or an Age of 8 house?

  7. Which body part does the toilet correspond to?

  9. What kind of body damage can skylights cause to occupants of the house?

  10. What are the consequences of seeing a toilet as soon as you get into your house?

  12. What is the difficulty with Five Ghosts Carry Wealth formula?

  13. Give three examples of Feng Shui that can cause adultery in marriages and how to avoid them.

  14. Why is it important to pick an auspicious date for digging up ground, renovation, marriages, engagements?

  15. What are the negative consequences of moving the bed when the woman is already pregnant?

  16. How do you calculate the Eight Elements of a person's year of birth, month, day and time and how are the Four Pillars of Destiny used in Feng Shui?

  17. What elements constitute a metal formation and what kind of a person would it help?

  21. What are the consequences of living on a triangular plot of land?

  22. How do you check you have a proper "store of wealth chi" spot in your house?

  23. What kind of structures outside the house can cause miscarriages and infertility?

  24. What are the dangers of using windchimes or too many windchimes?

These questions are to test your own knowledge of Feng Shui and also help you understand the specialised knowledge a traditional Feng Shui consultant will have. A traditional Feng Shui consultant who has studied under a true Master will know the answers to these questions.

However, a New Age Feng Shui consultant - one who is more like an interior designer turned Feng Shui consultant (the ones who recently jumped on the Feng Shui bandwagon and wrote those glossy coffee table books which all say more or less the same thing) will not even know what you are asking them. They will simply tell you wealth is always in the Southeast, romance is always in the Southwest sector. This is nonsense and is watered down Westernised Feng Shui used by those without a Master to learn from. We find this kind of New Age Feng Shui an insult to our culture and tradition but also damaging to the good name of Feng Shui.

When people abuse Feng Shui so much, those whom Feng Shui can really help will not get the help we need. Thus we are Rising Dragon Feng Shui aim to educate the public as to what authentic Feng Shui is and is not.
