Why Do We Use So Many Objects in Feng Shui?

In Feng Shui there are many different practitioners, each expounding their own view on what is the best way to change one’s environment. Some of the truly great practitioners like Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai focus on the movement of Chi within the home. His Holiness Grand Master Sheng-yen Lu is famed for his esoteric cures and ability to change the forces within the home without making structural change. Vajra Master Lai uses unseen forces to bring peace and good fortune to the home owner.

However, there are only a few such masters in the whole world and by and large they are devoted to their spiritual practice as they walk the Buddhist path. What should the rest of us who are unable to change the magnetic orientation of the door with the Divine Chi do? What if you are from the East life Kua group while your husband is from the West life? What if we do not know how to chant the Da Bei Zhou to expel the negative energy of the bad Flying Stars in the house? What if we don’t have the refuge empowerment from a True Buddha School Master to help us stop the conflict of a Tai Sui Heavenly Clash? What is the next best thing we can do?

These days there are many cures available to help with a wide variety of problems. Admittedly, using a cure is never as good a solution as learning the esoteric methods, but unless you are fortunate enough to have a True Buddha School master near you, that isn’t always an option available. So the next best thing you can do is use more cures and make the very best you can out of what you have. If you are from East life and your partner West, use more love enhancers. If you are in Tai Sui, read the High King Sutra and carry the Annual Combination Animal. If you don’t know how to cleanse yourself of bad Flying Star energy, you must use the Pi Yao or Salt Water Cures. When you have cures in place, at least you can still have choice and more control over the bad energies affecting you. The problem is still there but at least you won’t have to suffer its full blown effects 100%. Part of it will be reduced. If you don’t have any cures, then you and your family will just end up absorbing all that negative energy 100% yourselves and suffering the disasters that occur from it. This is the reason why many Chinese will pay a lot of money for Feng Shui consultants to check their houses and they will pay high sums for specialist cures because they know when the bad flying stars come, they are going to get its full impact unless they have cures in place.

There are some people out there who’ve said, “Well I bought a set of Lucky Coins and I’ve never won anything.” Others say “I have a pair of Lucky Mandarin Yin Yang Ducks and yet I still seem to argue so much”. Let me try to explain what is going on this way. Imagine that you need to acquire a certain amount of positive energy to bridge the gap between you and your partner. Let’s say that amount of energy is equivalent to 350 units of positive energy. By using the Yin Yang Love Ducks you’ve accumulated an extra 50 points towards remedying the situation. However you still need a further 300 units before you can consider it done. Therefore you may still experience some difficulties until you’ve fully addressed the issue.

Now exactly how much you and your partner will need depends on the situation, and that’s why Chinese use so much symbology. You see Dragons on our cloths, our walls and our table cloths. There are Double Happiness symbols on our chopsticks and wealth bringing bats on our crockery. We surround ourselves in positive energy to make sure that we have enough points in store to see us through. In fact we even don’t like to argue or even talk bad things in such a place for fear that it may deplete the positive energy we’ve built up. So if you want more romance ask yourself if you are doing the following:

Ten Easy Feng Shui Tips for a Better Love Life

  1. Support the idea of companionship and harmony by placing a symbolic pair of Yin Yang Love Ducks in the bedroom

  2. Suppress the argument causing number 5 Flying Star by using the Salt Water Cure

  3. Find out if you and your partner are of the same life group

  4. Display the Double Happiness symbol in the bedroom or living room to promote love, romance and relationship development

  5. See if there is a tree, lamp post, road or other poison arrow at the front door – these can cause disharmony through argument, careless words or hot tempers. Deflect them with a Bagua or pair of Chi Lin.

  6. Take time to be together – enjoy a romantic night in with a bottle of drink wrapped in a beautiful Double Happiness Silk Bag

  7. Learn to check your Ba Chai Feng Shui – don’t sleep or tap into in your Cheuh Ming, Ho Hai, Wu Kwei or Lui Sha directions

  8. Energise your personal “Peach Blossom” direction by placing fresh flowers there every week.

  9. Don’t paint your bedroom red; this colour will generate aggressive feelings. Use soft and gentle neutral colours instead.

  10. Find out if you are in Tai Sui or Heavenly Clash. For 2003 the Direct Clash which is the worst clash will be for those born in the Year of the Goat and those born in the Year of the Ox. Side ways or Indirect Clash will affect Dragon and Dog people. If you are born in these signs you need to carry the Annual Combination Animal with you.
